Sometimes the smallest of creatures can provide the largest of solutions.  Take the lowly earthworm for example.  Earthworms are great little recyclers.  And in India, they just may prove invaluable.  India produces large quantities of textiles, and the manufacture of textiles produces large quantities of waste in the form of solid textile sludge.
;     ;  But this may not present the problem it currently does.  Scientists at the University of Science and Technology in Haryana, India have discovered that earth worms of a specific genus, are capable of transforming solid textile sludge, spiked with a few extras like urine free cow manure, into rich compost suitable for sustaining plant life.  Mother Nature rocks again.  Our community has several people who teach worm composting.  I wonder what else the worms can compost?  What sort of work do worms do in your community?
